The True Source of Life

Reading: John 15:1-6

A branch severed from the tree may carry the appearance of life for a season. Leaves remain green, fruit hangs in place, but decay has already begun its quiet work. Jesus declares himself the true vine, the only source of genuine, lasting spiritual life. Religion, tradition, and church activity can deceive us into believing we are connected when we are not. The question worth sitting with today is not whether you attend, serve, or give, but whether you are genuinely rooted in Christ. Examine your heart honestly. Where are you drawing life from?

Reflection: In what areas of your spiritual life are you relying on activity rather than genuine connection to Christ?

Practical Application: Set aside ten minutes today in silence. Ask God to reveal any area where you are substituting busyness for true abiding.
