The Ministry of Reconciliation

The Ministry of Reconciliation

2 Corinthians 5:18-19; Romans 5:6-11

Reconciliation did not originate with us. While we were still enemies of God, still neck-deep in sin and rebellion, God moved first. He sent His Son to absorb the full weight of divine justice so that the guilty could go free. And now, remarkably, He has entrusted this message to us. We are not spectators of the gospel — we are participants in its proclamation. The same message that rescued us is the message we carry into every conversation, every relationship, every ordinary Tuesday. You have been given the most important message in human history. Treat it that way.

Reflection Questions:
  • Do you truly view yourself as a minister of reconciliation, or do you leave that role to pastors and missionaries?
  • Who in your life needs to hear the message of reconciliation that you have already received?

Practical Application:
  • Write down the names of three people in your life who do not know Christ.
  • Begin praying for them by name daily this week, asking God to open their hearts and to open a door for a gospel conversation.
