Walking by Faith, Not by Sight

Walking by Faith, Not by Sight

Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:6-8; Hebrews 11:1-6

Paul reminds us that the Christian life is not lived by what we can see, feel, or measure. It is lived by trusting what God has said. This is not blind faith — it is faith built on the sure foundation of Scripture, confirmed by the testimony of eyewitnesses and the indwelling Holy Spirit, given to us as a pledge of what is to come. When sickness comes, when grief settles in, when circumstances look bleak, the believer does not despair. We look beyond what is visible to what is certain. God has spoken. That settles it. Walk forward in confidence today.

Reflection Questions:
  • What circumstances in your life right now are tempting you to walk by sight rather than by faith?
  • How does the promise of eternity with Christ change the way you view present difficulties?

Practical Application:
  • Identify one area where fear or doubt has been driving your decisions.
  • Find one specific Scripture that speaks directly to that fear, write it down, and commit it to memory this week.
