You Belong Here
You Belong Here
1 Corinthians 12:12-13 -- Paul describes how believers from every background are united into one body through the same Spirit, belonging equally to Christ.
It is tempting to believe that belonging to Christ is a private arrangement between you and God alone. But the Spirit who saved you also placed you into a body. You were not baptized into isolation. You were baptized into community. The slave and the free man stood shoulder to shoulder in the early church because the Spirit erased the distances that culture created. Whatever wall you have built around yourself -- whether out of pain, pride, or past disappointment -- the Spirit's design has always been connection. You were placed here on purpose. Sit with that today. You do not have to earn your place. You already belong.
Reflection: What walls have you constructed that are keeping you at a distance from the body of Christ?
Practical Application: Reach out to one person in your church this week simply to say you are glad they are part of the body.
