Known by God, Bearing Lasting Fruit

Known by God, Bearing Lasting Fruit

Read: Psalm 1:4-6; John 15:4-5

The closing contrast of Psalm 1 is sobering and beautiful at once. The wicked are like chaff -- weightless, directionless, driven by whatever wind comes. But the righteous are known intimately by God. He sees them through to eternity. And in seasons when visible fruit seems scarce, do not despair -- often what appears to be an unfruitful season is the very season when roots are growing deeper and wider beneath the surface. Abide in Christ. Stay connected to the vine. The fruit will come in its season. Our calling is not to manufacture results but to remain rooted in Him who produces them.

Reflection Question: Are you currently in a fruitful season or a rooting season, and how does knowing God is present in both change the way you see where you are right now?

Practical Application: Write down one area of your life where you desire to bear more fruit for God. Commit it to prayer daily this week, asking not for visible results but for deeper roots in His Word and presence.
