The Danger of Wrong Counsel
Read: Psalm 1:1; Genesis 13:10-13
The path toward destruction rarely announces itself. Lot looked toward Sodom, then dwelt there, then sat in its gate as a leader. What began as a glance became a settled life among the wicked. Wrong counsel works the same way in our lives today -- it enters quietly, through screens, voices, and habits, sounding like wisdom but pulling us away from God. Ask yourself honestly: what voices are shaping your thinking? Are they training you to love God more, or less? Reject what draws you away before it draws you in completely.
Reflection Question: What is one voice or influence in your life right now that is moving you away from Christ rather than toward Him?
Practical Application: Identify one media source, habit, or relationship that consistently pulls your thoughts away from godliness. Make a deliberate decision today about how to limit or remove its influence.
