Ambassadors for Christ

Ambassadors for Christ

Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:20-21; Romans 10:13-15; 1 Peter 2:22-24

An ambassador does not carry his own message. He carries the message of the one who sent him. As Christians, we have been commissioned not to share our personal stories as the end goal, but to point every conversation, every relationship, and every open door toward the gospel of Jesus Christ. He who knew no sin became sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. That is the message. It is urgent. People around you are headed toward eternity without Christ. You may be the only ambassador they ever encounter. Go. Speak. Plead. The feet that carry this good news are beautiful indeed.

Reflection Questions:
  • When did you last urgently and compassionately plead with someone to be reconciled to God?
  • What fears or rationalizations have kept you from sharing the gospel, and how does the truth of Christ's sacrifice address those fears?

  • Practical Application:
This week, pray specifically for one open door for a gospel conversation.
  • When that door opens — and it will — walk through it.
  • Share the simple truth that Christ died for sins, was buried, and rose again, and that all who trust in Him will be saved.
